Why?
His close friend Max Domi was
traded to the Stars by the Chicago Blackhawks
on Thursday for goalie Anton Khudobin and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Wahlberg wasted no time, pulling on a Stars No. 18 jersey and talking up his boy.
"These guys got Max Domi down here in Dallas. We're in trouble. This kid's on fire," Wahlberg said in a video shared by the Stars. "My bro! That's my little brother. Max, I'm so proud of you brother. Wow Dallas you guys just inherited a warrior. A beast."
Tie Domi, Max's father and a longtime NHL forward, and Wahlberg
became friends in the 1990s
during Tie's stint with the New York Rangers. Wahlberg was still part of the hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, long before he became one of the most successful actors of his generation.
Wahlberg has always been supportive of Max Domi, sharing congrats on the forward's first NHL contract and goal. When Max was acquired by the Montreal Canadiens, Wahlberg took to social media to share his excitement, even using the hashtag "family."
