The 26-year-old has two seasons remaining on a four-year contract he signed with the Blue Jackets on March 29, 2018. He scored nine points (three goals, six assists) in 37 games and was minus-1 in two postseason games this season.

Pu, a 22-year-old forward, has yet to play an NHL game. He played this season for Springfield of the American Hockey League and Greenville of the ECHL.
Zito was assistant GM with the Blue Jackets for seven seasons prior to being hired by the Panthers on Sept. 2.
