The forward will play his third NHL outdoor game when the Tampa Bay Lightning face the Nashville Predators in the 2022 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET; TNT, SN360, TVAS2, NHL LIVE). It's the Lightning's first outdoor game since joining the NHL for the 1992-93 season.
"I'm looking forward to it," Maroon said. "I've played in two already, so this is going to be really exciting, especially in Nashville. It's one of my favorite cities and I'm going to be pumped. It's going to be fun to have family there, play another outdoor game. It's going to be one for the ages."
Maroon is 2-0-0 in NHL outdoor games. He played for the Anaheim Ducks in a 3-0 win against the Los Angeles Kings at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles at the 2014 Stadium Series, and with the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-0 victory against the Winnipeg Jets at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg at the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic.
A Stanley Cup winner in three straight seasons with the St. Louis Blues and Lightning, Maroon also discusses the art of trash talking, the "Chub Club," playing with Connor McDavid and more.
