Marshawn Lynch tended to some serious business on his first day as a minority owner of the Seattle Kraken.

The former Seattle Seahawks running back made sure the rink was skate-ready and the Zamboni was up and running, driving fast and doing donuts on the ice at Kraken Community Iceplex.

"They should've known not to put me behind nothing with a steering wheel," Lynch said.
Lynch played seven of his 12 NFL seasons for the Seahawks, helping them win their first Super Bowl in 2014. The Kraken announced Monday that
Lynch and Grammy-winning rapper Mackelmore have joined the Kraken investment group

Lynch also was a guest announcer at the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft, when the Kraken announced their first 30 players. He plans to be active in Seattle's Hockey is For Everyone campaign and community activism.
"I've been a part of a lot of things, but this is something I never would have imagined," Lynch

. "As a young hyena I always dreamed of playing on a professional team but owning one is something special."
On Monday night, they Kraken had a special guest and another new minority owner, Grammy award winning rapper Macklemore, read the starting lineup.

Macklemore, a native of Seattle, is best known for his songs "Can't Hold Us," "Thrift Shop" and "Same Love."
