Winston Schmidt is on the New York Islanders bandwagon.

The Islanders shared video of New York-born actor Max Greenfield voicing his support for them ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Semifinals against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.

Greenfield, who is from Dobbs Ferry, New York in Westchester County, played Long Islander Schmidt on the "New Girl" from 2011-18. He slightly altered his character's rant from the Season 3 episodes "Basketsball," where he rattled off names of Long Island fixtures while taunting his older colleague, Ed.
"I'm from Long Island. The 516," Schmidt said, referencing the Nassau County area code. "LIRR. New York. Long Island. Billy Joel."
Yet in the video released Sunday he added some hockey references too.
"Islanders. Stanley Cup. Billy Joel. Long Island. Let's Go!" Greenfield said with the Stanley Cup behind him.
Perhaps buoyed by Greenfield's support the Islanders built a two-goal lead and hung on for a 2-1 victory to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
