Buble

It seems like hockey jerseys are the new friendship bracelets.

The Grammy award winning singer put on former Washington Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner's jersey during a show at Capital One Arena in D.C.
Alzner brought his jersey to Bublé's show as a gift to the singer.
"Well ladies and gentlemen, what you don't know but what I know, this isn't just a jersey," Bublé said in a Twitter video posted by the Capitals. "This isn't just a Washington Capitals jersey. This is a Capitals jersey given to me by my buddy, who was a draft pick in 2007, played for your Washington Capitals for nine years before the old Stanley Cup came here. Beautiful Karl Alzner just gave me this. Thank you, Karl."

Alzner played nine seasons with the Capitals (2008-17). During his 12-season NHL career, which included three seasons with the Montreal Canadiens (2017-2020), he had 130 points (20 goals, 110 assists) in 686 games. He retired from the NHL in 2020.
He isn't the only player or team Bublé paid homage to. The singer wore a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey with "Bublé" on the nameplate and the number 88 on the back during his concert in Pittsburgh.
"I gotta admit, it kind of burns as a Canucks fan,"
he said
. "But I already feel like I'm winning more. What's it like to have Stanley Cups?!"

It doesn't stop there.

By September, he was getting a visit from Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin, who presented him with a fully autographed home green jersey.

Bublé might be known as a Canucks fan, but on this tour, he's on all the hockey bandwagons.
