During first intermission of the Washington Capitals game against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday, a customary exhibition between young hockey players was played. Except this one featured the most jubilant celly you'll ever see.
The player, Micha, scored his first goal in Verizon Center on a breakaway and carried his excitement from the ice all the way to the post-game interview where he said he was so happy and that his favorite player is Alex Ovechkin. He also already knew what he'd tell the other kids at school the next day.
"I'm gonna say that yesterday I scored one goal at the Caps stadium and I was on TV," he said.
He may be an amateur player, but that was an elite celebration. The drop to the knees, the screaming at the stars, the fist pumps; this kid had it all.
