Goalie Jacob Markstrom is expected to start for Vancouver after Richard Bachman made his first start since April 9, 2017, in a 6-2 loss at the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. It was the fourth straight loss for the Canucks, who are coming off a 1-3-2 road trip.

Weber is traveling with the Canadiens and practiced with teammates in Edmonton on Monday for the first time since he had knee surgery on June 19. He was expected to be out until mid-December. … Edler, who has been out since injuring his knee in an Oct. 24 game, skated on Friday. He was expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
