Teddy Bear toss

Brad Malone and the Bakersfield Condors created an incredible image while making history for a good cause Sunday.

The forward scored the first goal for the Edmonton Oilers American Hockey League affiliate, leading to a hypnotizing image after the sellout crowd flooded the ice with 10,549 teddy bears.

Bakersfield has hosted the teddy-bear toss for 19 years, starting with Condors of the West Coast Hockey League in 1999, and have collected more than 121,000 stuffed animals to donate to local charities since.
Sunday was the first time the Condors surpassed 10,000 teddy bears on the ice, and Malone posed with the bears just to show how overwhelming that many stuffed animals can look.

Besides a flood of fur on the ice, Malone's goal also started an avalanche of goals for Bakersfield, who defeated San Antonio 7-3.
