Smashville is taking center stage for the 2022 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Feb. 26.

The Nashville Predators on Thursday unveiled their jerseys for the outdoor game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The design by adidas includes the city's Smashville nickname in big, bold lettering that pays homage to letterpress music posters that have a storied history in Nashville's country music scene.
The theme continues in the players' name and number font and outside back collar "Preds," which features digits and characters of different widths and weights to reflect the look of the mismatched letterpress blocks used to make the posters.
In a nod to Nashville's Music City nickname, the team's guitar pick logo gets a prominent spot on front of the jersey and the Predators' primary logo surrounded by sound waves is located on the inside of the back collar.
Longtime Predators goalie Pekka Rinne, who retired in July, helped launch the jerseys in a video where he told fans he'd see them at the game.

Several players got an early look at the jerseys and gave it their nods of approval.
