Calle Jarnkrok signs six-year contract with Predators

Forward Calle Jarnkrok signed a six-year, $12 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $2 million.
Jarnkrok, 24, who was a restricted free agent, was scheduled to have an arbitration hearing in Toronto on Aug. 4. He set NHL career highs with 16 goals (four game-winners), 14 assists and 30 points in 81 games last season.

In three seasons with the Predators, Jarnkrok has 25 goals, 57 points and 36 penalty minutes in 167 regular-season games and three assists in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The Predators on Tuesday avoided arbitration with defenseman Petter Granberg, who signed a two-year, two-way contract.
Nashville also signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Matthew Carle to a one-year, $700,000 contract Wednesday. He had the final two years of his contract bought out by the Tampa Bay Lightning on June 30.
