Max-Caps

Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer was thrilled to be playing in an American League park on Wednesday.
Why?
So he could watch Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, of course. Well, parts of it anyway.

When the Nationals play at home or against other National League teams, the ace pitcher also has to bat.
But on Wednesday the team played at the Baltimore Orioles home park, which means American League rules were used, which means a designated hitter bats for the pitcher, giving Scherzer some extra free time.
If you are wondering what he did while he wasn't pitching, he broadcasted it on Twitter.

The Nationals are in Atlanta on Saturday during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, the first one at Capital One Arena, but Scherzer is not scheduled to pitch again until Tuesday.
Monday, when the Capitals will host Game 4, is a scheduled off day for the Nationals, who start a homestand in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
Scherzer's teammate Bryce Harper, a native of Las Vegas, is a loud and proud Golden Knights fan. In a
recent interview with NHL Network
, Harper has said he plans on attending Game 4 while wearing a road white Jonathan Marchessault jersey.
