The Calgary Flames forward received a standing ovation from Colorado Avalanche fans in his first game back at Ball Arena since signing with Calgary during free agency in the summer. Avalanche fans got on their feet as a tribute video of Kadri's highlights with the team played on the jumbotron.
Kadri was emotional as he saluted the cheering crowd. The veteran forward spent three seasons with the Avalanche and played in 178 games. He scored 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 16 playoff games to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup last season. Back in October, Kadri received his Stanley Cup championship ring and a visit from his old teammates when the Avalanche played the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.
