TOR@BOS, Gm7: Julian Edelman fires up the crowd
ByPat Pickens @Pat_Pickens / NHL.com Staff Writer
Tom Brady might have an offseason job for Zdeno Chara.
The New England Patriots six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was apparently scouting the Boston Bruins captain as a replacement for the recently retired Rob Gronkowski while supporting the Bruins in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
, but he wasn't the only Patriots player getting hyped by the Bruins. Julian Edelman, the Patriots wide receiver and MVP of Super Bowl LIII who spiked a puck at a Bruins game earlier this season, was back as the official hype man for Game 7. Edelman did his job, first firing up the crowd by flying the Bruins flag before the game then hyping up the team by chugging a beverage on the scoreboard television during the first period. "Julian Edelman chugging a beer was awesome," Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said. "It probably got everyone fired up, including us. Good for him. We'll have to repay him at some point down the road. I thought it was awesome."
