Karlsson Holtby Eichel

TAMPA-- What's in an outfit? It depends on who you ask.

Though they all wanted to look their best, the 2018 NHL all-stars got to their red carpet looks in different ways. Some consulted tailors to create new suits just for the occasion and some guys just grabbed what they already had in their closets. But they all looked like stars as they made their way into the 2018 Honda NHL All-Star Game and shared their style secrets.
Jack Eichel, Buffalo Sabres:
I just like camo. My suit guy came up with it. Obviously I wanted something more unusual, maybe borderline flashy. I'm wearing no-show socks with Louboutin loafers so my feet don't get sweaty. I like (no-show socks). You gotta let your ankles breathe. We're in Tampa.

Erik Karlsson, Ottawa Senators:
It's a summery jacket. It's something I bought in the summer for a French wedding and I don't get to put it on that much, so why not bring it to Tampa? There's beautiful weather here, so I thought I'd spice it up. I get lucky sometimes when I dress. My wife helps me out with all the color combinations. It's not my strong suit.
I don't know how I decided on this outfit, but at the moment this must've just felt like what I wanted to wear a couple of days ago when I packed and it turned out pretty good.
On wearing his hair up: "Sometimes when I want to be a little bit more dressy the long hair gets in the way and I need to class it up a little bit."

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Arizona Coyotes:
Ii just tried to pick a fun suit for the red carpet. I've been using this for a couple of red carpets, so I decided to keep it simple. It's probably my favorite suit, so I just went with it. On his Christian Louboutin spiked loafers:
I like to go a little crazy on my look, and I really like these shoes a lot. They're probably my favorite shoes.

Anze Kopitar, Los Angeles Kings:
Not a whole lot of planning. I like to throw some color in so it's not just black and white all the time. My shoes are beat up. They look gross. I'm not proud of those.
Drew Doughty, Los Angeles Kings:
I try to stay away from the red carpets in Hollywood and stick to the hockey red carpets. This suit is so dirty. I only brought one suit for the trip and we're going on the road after this too. One suit for two weeks is not very good.

Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens:
Sartorialto (in Montreal) picked it out for me today. They gave me a couple of different fabrics to choose from. I thought this one looked good.
Brent Burns, San Jose Sharks:
This isn't brand new. But coming to a great city like this and the big pirate festival, I wanted to have fun with it a little bit.
On his hair: "I like top knots. I usually wear a hat or toque or something."

P.K. Subban, Nashville Predators:
Over time you just accumulate suits and hats, and obviously people understand that I love my hats and my suits, but my tailor did a good job putting this together for me.

Auston Matthews, Toronto Maple Leafs:
We were on the road so I had limited options. I have a pretty good guy in Arizona that helps me out with that. I think you have to (put effort into your look). There are a lot of people looking at you, a lot of cameras around.

Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers:
I'm not much of a fashion guy, I just wear whatever is easy.
Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers:
Well I was in Chicago a couple months ago and I went to the store and picked out a few suits. I thought this was a good summer suit. It's hot here.

Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers:
It's a new outfit for today from Commonwealth Proper in Philadelphia. It's my first time wearing this so I'm really excited. It was kind of a group decision, me and my fiancee, we saw it and we liked this one. The shoes are just my lucky shoes.
Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals:
I just kind of pick whatever's in the closet. I don't think the wool as a great choice for Florida. I kind of regret that but I learned for next time. It was a bad hair day I guess, so (the hat) cleans up that pretty easily.
Brayden Point, Tampa Bay Lightning:
It's the same old suit I wear to all my games. Nothing special. It's blue. I've been wearing it lately at the games, so I went with that tonight. A lot of the guys look good. I feel underdressed a little bit.
