The show will announce the winners of the Calder (rookie of the year), Hart (most valuable player), Norris (best defenseman) and Vezina (best goalie) trophies, as well as the winners of the Ted Lindsay Award (most outstanding player) and E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence (draft prospect). The finalists for the Jim Gregory GM of the Year Award will also be announced during the show, which will air at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
The League will announce the winners of the other annual honors one per day from June 1-7 during the conference finals in pregame shows on ESPN, Turner, Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
Those honors are the Masterton (perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey), Selke (best defensive forward), King Clancy (leadership and humanitarian contribution) and Lady Byng (sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct and playing ability) trophies, plus the Jack Adams Award (coach of the year), Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award and Willie O'Ree Community Hero Award presented by MassMutual.
The NHL hosted an awards show in Las Vegas from 2009-12 and 2014-19, each time in June after the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, the League has had to adjust since due to the coronavirus pandemic and schedule disruptions.
The NHL announced the award winners throughout the final two rounds of the playoffs each of the past two seasons.
The last possible day of the Final is June 30 and the 2022 NHL Draft will be at Bell Centre in Montreal on July 7-8. NHL free agency begins July 13.
