Boston Bruins

David Krejci is questionable to play for the Bruins against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; TVAS, NESN, SNO, ESPN+, SN NOW).
"I think he still has some discomfort," Boston coach Jim Montgomery said after the forward left midway through practice Wednesday. "We're going to see. We're going to be very precautionary right now. He's questionable for tomorrow. We'll see in the morning."
Krejci missed a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday with a lower-body injury.
Forward Taylor Hall, who has missed 19 games with a lower-body injury, practiced in a regular jersey Wednesday on a line with Charlie Coyle and Tyler Bertuzzi. He is doubtful to play Thursday.
"I don't know about tomorrow, to be honest," Montgomery said. "I'm not going to say for sure he's not, but it's leaning that way. But he's starting to check all the boxes. We're starting to get him in the game rhythm again through practice. … I think he's doubtful for tomorrow, to be honest, but I'm not going to completely rule him out. He's getting closer."
Hall, who is on long-term injured reserve and hasn't played since Feb. 25, has 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 58 games this season. Montgomery said it would be ideal if he could return in some regular-season games before the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin April 17. Hall said he feels good and has tried to use the time to his advantage.
"I feel rested," Hall said. "I feel like I have some gas that some guys around the League might not just having this break, so that's been something that I've tried to utilize the best I can. It feels great to be out with the guys, to practice with them, to be in the meetings. When they're on the road it's pretty lonely around here." -- Amalie Benjamin

Toronto Maple Leafs

Matt Murray is day to day for the Maple Leafs after sustaining a head injury during a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
The goalie, who allowed two goals on seven shots, left at 16:16 of the first period when Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond inadvertently slid into him after losing an edge, taking Murray's feet out from under him. Murray fell backwards and was tested for a concussion after leaving the game.
"Right now it's going to be a day-to-day thing in terms of sorting through exactly where he's at and what the time frame might be," Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe said Tuesday. "It will be difficult to put any real timeline on it until we give him more time to settle.
"He's got a head injury, so we will have to see where that is. He's got some other stuff as well, but it will have to be a take it a day at a time in terms of seeing really where he's at."
It is the third significant injury Murray has dealt with this season after missing 15 games from Oct. 13-Nov. 12 because of an adductor muscle injury and five weeks from Jan. 29-March 2 with an ankle injury. Murray is 14-8-2 with a 3.01 goals-against average and .903 save percentage in 26 games this season.
Joseph Woll was in goal for a 4-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday after being recalled on an emergency basis from Toronto of the American Hockey League. Ilya Samsonov was the backup. -- Dave McCarthy

St. Louis Blues

Pavel Buchnevich will play against the New York Rangers on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; BSMW, MSG, ESPN+, SN NOW).
The forward has missed four games with an upper-body injury, the fifth time this season he's been out due to injuries.
Buchnevich is second on the Blues in goals (25) and points (66), and third in assists (41) in 59 games.
"He needed to heal up a little bit, and I think he's good today," St. Louis coach Craig Berube said Wednesday. "He says he's ready to go, but you've got to wake up and see how you feel tomorrow too, but I think he'll be good."
Forward Robert Thomas will miss his fifth straight game with an upper-body injury after participating in the morning skate Tuesday prior to a 4-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers and being listed as a game-time decision.
Thomas, who leads the Blues with 46 assists and has 63 points in 70 games, did not practice Wednesday.
"He'll be a no-go tomorrow," Berube said. "He won't be able to play tomorrow."
Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo, who also did not practice and has not skated since Sunday, will miss his fifth straight game with an upper-body injury, and goalie Thomas Greiss (lower body), who had a surgical procedure Monday, has not resumed skating.
Defenseman Marco Scandella will miss the remainder of the season with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot in the second period of a 6-1 loss against the Nashville Predators on Saturday. He was seen walking out of the arena with a walking boot on his left foot following a 4-2 loss to the Bruins on Sunday.-- Lou Korac
