Ottawa Senators

Thomas Chabot has an undisclosed injury and will not play for the Senators against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday (TSN5, RDS, BSMW, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
The defenseman left a 4-1 win against the Washington Capitals on Sunday at 6:30 of the third period after a hit by Capitals forward Tom Wilson.
"We're hopeful he'll be right back, but we're not going to put him in any situation that he's not 100 percent," Senators coach D.J. Smith said.
Chabot has scored 24 points (three goals, 21 assists) in 45 games and leads the NHL with an average ice time of 26:51 per game.
"He plays not only all the minutes, but he breaks you out," Smith said. "There's a lot of things he does. ... It's a huge hole, but we're hoping it's really quick." -- Callum Fraser

Boston Bruins

Patrice Bergeron will join the Bruins for practice in New York on Wednesday and could play at the New York Islanders on Thursday, coach Bruce Cassidy said.
Bergeron will miss his third straight game with an upper-body injury when the Bruins play the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; SN1, MSG, NESN, ESPN+, NHL LIVE). The center did not make the trip to New York for the game.
Bergeron was injured during a 4-2 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Feb. 8 when he collided with Penguins forward Sidney Crosby and fell into the boards.
"He's coming tomorrow, we expect him to practice with us and then if all goes well it could be as early as Thursday," Cassidy said.
The Bruins will have defenseman Matt Grzelcyk back in the lineup against the Rangers after he missed a 2-0 win at the Ottawa Senators on Saturday with an upper-body injury.
Grzelcyk will be paired with Brandon Carlo and play the point on the second power-play unit. He will replace defenseman Jack Ahcan, who played 15:15 on Saturday. -- Dan Rosen

Philadelphia Flyers

Derick Brassard will not play for the Flyers against the Pittsburgh Penguins (7 p.m. ET; ATTSN-PT, NBCSP+, ESPN+, NHL LIVE) because of a recurring hip injury.
The forward has played four games since initially being injured against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Nov. 23. He returned to the lineup for a 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 9 after missing 11 games but did not play in a 4-2 loss at Detroit on Saturday, and likely will be out for a while.
"Obviously there's still an issue there," Flyers coach Mike Yeo said Monday. "I think the plan is that he'll be out until we feel more confident that the strength can be there to keep him in the lineup."
Brassard has scored 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 20 games this season.
Defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen skated during the early part of practice Monday but remains questionable after missing the game Saturday because of an upper-body injury.
"He's feeling pretty good," Yeo said. "Certainly not near where we need him to be to be a player. You look at the way he plays and he's got to be feeling pretty good to go out there and play at that level with that physicality."
Ristolainen has scored 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 42 games and leads the Flyers with 146 hits. -- Adam Kimelman

Tampa Bay Lightning

Erik Cernak could return to the lineup when the Lightning visit the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; MSG+, BSSUN, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
The defenseman has missed nine games with a lower-body injury. He practiced Monday, skating on a pair with his usual partner, Ryan McDonagh.
"Yes, I feel decent about [him playing] tomorrow," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Monday.
Cernak has scored seven points (one goal, six assists) and averaged 19:24 of ice time in 21 games this season.
Zach Bogosian will remain out until early March. The defenseman had a "small procedure" to help him with a lower-body injury that has sidelined him for eight games, according to Cooper.
"We're hoping for early March," Cooper said. "It sounds like a long way away, but it really is only three games."
Bogosian has scored six points (two goals, four assists) in 23 games. -- Corey Long
