New York Rangers

Artemi Panarin is expected to play against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; TVAS, NBCSP, MSG, NHL.TV), coach David Quinn said.
The forward missed the past two games with a lower-body injury. He leads the Rangers in scoring with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) in 12 games this season.
New York has scored two goals in two games without Panarin and has lost four straight (0-3-1).
Quinn also said defenseman K'Andre Miller, who missed one game with an upper-body injury, will play Thursday. -- Dan Rosen

Toronto Maple Leafs

Alex Galchenyuk
could practice with the Maple Leafs on Thursday.
The forward was acquired in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday, two days after he was traded there by the Ottawa Senators with forward Cedric Paquette for forward
Ryan Dzingel
.
Because he never left Canada following the trade to Carolina, Galchenyuk, who has scored one goal in eight games this season, is not subject to quarantine.
"With his skill set and what he's accomplished in the League, we see great potential there for him," Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said. "We'll integrate him and put him in the mix of guys competing for spots every night."

San Jose Sharks

Erik Karlsson could return against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; FS-MW, NBCSCA, NHL.TV), coach Bob Boughner said.
The defenseman did not play in a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Monday because of a lower-body injury.
"It's just one of those (injuries) that most guys get at some point throughout a season and unfortunately, it just wouldn't let me do what I deemed being necessary to help the team," Karlsson told the San Jose Mercury News.
Karlsson has four assists and a minus-4 rating in 13 games this season. He ranks fifth in the NHL in ice time per game (25:36).

St. Louis Blues

Defensemen Torey Krug and Marco Scandella will be in the lineup against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; FS-MW, NBCSCA, NHL.TV).
Krug sustained an upper-body injury and did not play in the third period of a 1-0 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Monday but was on the ice for practice Wednesday. Scandella, who has missed the past six games with an upper-body injury, also practiced.
Forward Jaden Schwartz is likely to miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury after not practicing Wednesday.
"He's day to day right now," coach Craig Berube said. "I don't really know anything about it other than that. Not ready right now."
Defenseman Colton Parayko (undisclosed injury) did not practice.
"I don't think (his injury) is regressing. He needs time to heal a little bit, so today, we kept him off and we'll see how he is tomorrow."-- Louie Korac
