Ottawa Senators

Jakob Chychrun will be out "a couple weeks" because of a lower-body injury, Senators coach D.J. Smith said.
The defenseman, who was acquired in a trade with the Arizona Coyotes on March 2, has five points (two goals, three assists) in 12 games and is averaging 21:00 of ice time since joining the Senators.
"He's done a nice job moving pucks, putting guys into the boards, and it's a big loss for us, but we've dealt with so many of these injuries and things this year for whatever reason," Smith said on Saturday. "The next guy has to come in and do the job."
Ottawa, which lost 5-3 to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, is seven points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference.
The Senators will also be without Ridly Greig for the remainder of the regular season after the forward sustained a sternum injury in a 7-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.-- Mike G. Morreale

Vegas Golden Knights

Reilly Smith, Logan Thompson and Alec Martinez did not play in a 4-3 overtime win at the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
Smith, a forward, left in the third peirod of a 3-2 win at the Calgary Flames on Thursday because of a lower-body injury.
Thompson also left during the third period with a lower-body injury. It was the goalie's first start since Feb. 9 because of a lower-body injury.
Martinez, a defenseman, left the team for a personal reasons.
"Hopefully they're all short term," Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said on Friday. "We won't know that until they get looked at by our medical team, and we'll see. We play Tuesday at home [against the Oilers], so hopefully we'll have better news for you Monday."
Goalie Laurent Brossoit, who hadn't played since Feb. 25 because of a lower-body injury, made 27 saves for the win against the Oilers.
Forward Keegan Kolesar, who had missed six games because of an upper-body injury, replaced Smith. He had one shot on goal and five hits in 10:05.
Defenseman Ben Hutton replaced Martinez. He had four blocked shots in 13:30.

Minnesota Wild

John Klingberg did not play in a 3-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks because of an upper-body injury.
It was the second straight game the defenseman missed after sitting out a 5-4 shootout loss at the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
"He's just getting looked at today," Wild coach Dean Evason said Friday. "He was here this morning, was involved in the meetings. We had everybody here at the meetings. He'll get evaluated. He will not play tomorrow, but we'll get a better idea here today."
Gustav Nyquist practiced for the first time since being acquired in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Feb. 28.
The forward hasn't played since Jan. 25 because of a shoulder injury that was supposed to be season-ending, but the Wild remain hopeful that Nyquist will return this season.
Evason said that he has not yet been cleared for contact.
"There's no date set (for a return)," Evason said. "We'll just progress as we go here. The next step will be some battle stuff. I do know he'll come on the road with us because he's now with us, our guys. We'll progress into some pushing and battling and stuff here in the future.
"When that happens, he'll be even closer."

Washington Capitals

Sonny Milano will miss at least one week with an upper-body injury.
The forward has 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 58 games, two shy of his NHL career high he set in 66 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season. He has nine points (three goals, six assists) in his past 11 games.
"Maybe a week, maybe a little bit more," Capitals coach Peter Laviolette said. "But he's out for right now, yeah."
Aliaksei Protas, who has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 49 games, is expected to take Milano's spot at left wing on the second line. He has six assists in his past 11 games.
"I think he's played really well," Laviolette said of Protas. "He's fast, he's big (6-foot-6, 225 pounds), he's competitive. It's nice that he's chipped in a few points here recently. You'd like to see him get rewarded for some of the work that he does out there maybe a little bit more.
"With Sonny out, we have to move somebody up. Again, it's his size, his speed, his forecheck, and the fact that he's putting a few points on the board right now, we'll move him up." -- Wes Crosby
