The Canadiens forwards set a League record for fastest two goals by one team, scoring two seconds apart in the third period.
Domi scored at 19:38 of the third period to give the Canadiens a 5-4 lead. Phillip Danault won the ensuing face-off, with the puck rolling to Armia, who scored into an empty net at 19:40.
The previous record had been three seconds, done three times, all in the third period: Frank Jerwa (14:50) and Joe Lamb (14:53) of the St. Louis Eagles in a 3-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings on March 12, 1935; Jim Dowd (19:44) and Richard Park (19:47) for the Minnesota Wild in a 4-2 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 21, 2004; Anders Lee (19:33) and Nikolay Kulemin (19:36) for the New York Islanders in a 5-3 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Nov. 30, 2016.
Domi's game-winning goal was his fourth in four games and was the second-latest go-ahead goal this season. Teammate Brendan Gallagher scored with 10.5 seconds remaining against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 17.
The Canadiens also got two goals from rookie center Jesperi Kotkaniemi, the No. 3 pick of the 2018 NHL Draft.
The goals were Kotkaniemi's first in the NHL and at 18 years, 118 days old, the native of Pori, Finland, became the youngest player born outside North America to have at least two goals in an NHL game. Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine (Tampere, Finland) was 18 years, 183 days when he had a hat trick Oct. 19, 2016.
Kotkaniemi also became the second-youngest player to score his first NHL goal with the Canadiens, behind Mario Tremblay, who was age 18 years, 75 days when he scored Nov. 16, 1974.
Kotkaniemi, who was born July 6, 2000, already held the distinction of being the first player born in the 2000s to play in one of the four major North American professional leagues when he made his Canadiens debut Oct. 3.
His goals also mean the first four players picked in the 2018 draft have scored this season, following Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, the No. 1 pick (Oct. 13); Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov, the No. 2 pick (Oct. 7); and Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk, the No. 4 pick (Oct. 10). The last time the top four picks scored a goal in the season immediately following their draft was 2009-10, when New York Islanders forward John Tavares, Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman, Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Duchene and Atlanta Thrashers forward Evander Kane all scored.
Teenagers have scored 28 goals through 191 games this season, the fourth straight season in which teenagers accounted for at least 25 goals through as many games.
