NEW YORK - The 2019 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by SAP at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center will be the site of the fifth annual NHL Mascot Showdown™ presented by Playmobil as part of the 2019 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend, Jan. 24-27, in San Jose, Calif. Fifteen Western Conference Mascots, led by the San Jose Shark's own S.J. Sharkie™ will face 14 Eastern Conference Mascots, guided by last year's Most Valuable Mascot ThunderBug™ from the Tampa Bay Lightning and introducing rookie sensation Gritty™ from the Philadelphia Flyers, in four days of friendly but fierce competition.

Four-day event at fan festival in San Jose will feature scavenger hunt, dodgeball, parade
The NHL Mascot Showdown™ is one of the most anticipated events at the 2019 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by SAP, the official fan festival of the 2019 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend. Twenty-nine NHL Mascots™ (not every NHL team has its own mascot) will showcase their hockey skills and athletic prowess, offering family-friendly fun for fans of all ages. NHL in-arena host Mike Todd will handle play-by-play duties for each event. Each competition will be preceded by a mascot parade, a warm up and stretching session led by S.J. Sharkie, a ceremonial puck drop and a group photo. Select young fans in attendance will be able to take part in the warm up and stretching session prior to each planned event.
"This annual event has quickly become a fan-favorite and one of the must-see events of NHL All-Star Weekend," said Dave McCarthy, NHL Vice President of Consumer Products. "Our host and Western Conference captain, S.J. Sharkie, and the rest of our lovable mascots are excited to show off their athletics skills and endearing personalities to fans of all ages."

Tickets purchased in advance via Ticketmaster.com are available for $17 for adults and $15 for youth, seniors, college students and members of the military, and subject to applicable fees. Tickets purchased at the box office will be $20 for adults and $15 for youth, seniors, college students and members of the military. Children under two years old will be admitted free of charge
