NHL Network will air seven different Pacific Division matchups during the 16 days of preseason game telecasts. Five Metropolitan Division matchups will be featured, including the New York Islanders at New York Rangers live at 7:00 p.m. ET on Monday, September 18. NHL Network will also air two Atlantic Division matchups during its preseason slate, both featuring the Detroit Red Wings, including the first game at Little Caesars Arena against the Boston Bruins live on Saturday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Saturday, September 30 will highlight last year's First Round matchup between the Columbus Blue Jackets and defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in each team's final preseason game before the 2017-2018 regular season, live at 3:00 p.m. ET.
The second game of the 2017 NHL China Games™ between the Kings and Canucks will air on Saturday, September 23 at 3:30 a.m. ET live from Wukesong Arena in Beijing, marking the first preseason games played in China. Two days later, NHL Network will feature the Ottawa Senators and New Jersey Devils in the 2017 Kraft Hockeyville Canada preseason game, live at 6:00 p.m. ET.
