Seven Hart Trophy winners, three Vezina Trophy winners and five Calder Trophy winners are among the ranking in NHL Network's five-part series Top 50 Players Right Now, beginning Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET with players ranked 50-41. With players from nine of the last 10 Stanley Cup champions included, the series will count down the top players in NHL based on player performance over the past several seasons with an emphasis on 2016, and projected 2017 performance.
Determined by NHL Network researchers, producers and on-air personalities, each ranking takes into account players who are coming back from injuries, younger players expected to break out, and veteran players with proven track records.
