Oct. 13: Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs (playoff rematch)
Carey Price and the Canadiens' improbable run to the Stanley Cup Final began with them defeating the Maple Leafs in three straight games after trailing the series 3-1 in the first round. Oct. 14: Montreal Canadiens at Buffalo Sabres (Possible Owen Power debut)
This could be the first NHL game for defenseman Owen Power, projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old scored 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 26 games at the University of Michigan this season and could give the Sabres a boost if he signs and is on the opening-night roster.
Oct. 23: Vancouver Canucks at Seattle Kraken (Seattle home opener)
Following a five-game road trip to start the season, the Kraken will open their home schedule at Climate Pledge Arena against the Vancouver Canucks, their closest geographic rival. The two cities are separated by less than 150 miles and this will be the first of many games for the Pacific Division opponents.
Oct. 26: Vegas Golden Knights at Colorado Avalanche (playoff rematch)
The top two teams during the regular season meet for the first time since the Golden Knights defeated the Avalanche in six games in the second round of the playoffs. Center Nathan MacKinnon and Colorado won the first two games before goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and Vegas won the next four. The teams will play three times.
Dec. 1: Pittsburgh Penguins at Edmonton Oilers (Connor McDavid vs. Sidney Crosby)
After not playing each other this season because of temporary division realignment, it will be the first of two games between McDavid and Crosby. Two of the most dynamic players in the NHL, the centers have combined to win the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP four times and the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion five times. The teams will also play at Pittsburgh on April 26.
Dec. 7: Tampa Bay Lightning at Montreal Canadiens (Stanley Cup Final rematch)
After temporary realignment this season, the Lightning and Canadiens will be back in the same division next season. Minnesota and St. Louis each made the playoffs this season but lost in the first round.
Jan. 6, 2022: New York Rangers at Vegas Golden Knights (Gerard Gallant returns to Vegas)

Feb. 26, 2022: Tampa Bay Lightning at Nashville Predators (Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series)
This will be the first regular-season outdoor game for the Lightning and second for the Predators, who played in the 2020 NHL Winter Classic in Dallas. The Lightning won six of eight games against the Predators this season when the teams played in the Discover Central Division. Next season, they will play twice.

He is second in Blackhawks history in games, sixth in assists (520) and 10th in points (625).
