There will be a bit of Swedish flair on display when the New Jersey Devils take on the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center (8 p.m. ET; MSG-B, MSGSN, ESPN+, SN NOW). The Devils, who had their 13-game winning streak end with a 2-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, are led by Jesper Bratt, who has 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) in 20 games, which is tied with Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks for the most among Sweden-born forwards in the NHL. Rasmus Dahlin has 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) in 19 games, which is second on the Sabres behind Tage Thompson (26 points; 13 goals, 13 assists), and second among Sweden-born defensemen behind Erik Karlsson of the San Jose Sharks (30 points; 11 goals, 19 assists). --Shawn P. Bruins go for record start at home

The Boston Bruins will go for history when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden (1p.m. ET; NHLN, NESN, BSSO, SN NOW). Boston (17-3-0) has won 11 straight games at home to start the season, tied for the longest in NHL history with the 1963-64 Chicago Blackhawks and 2021-22 Florida Panthers. Forward David Pastrnak will enter the game on an eight-game point streak (five goals, six assists), and defenseman Charlie McAvoy will enter on a five-game point streak (one goal, eight assists) for Boston, which ranks first in the NHL in goals for (4.05) and goals against (2.25), second on the penalty kill (85.7 percent), and third on the power play (30.3 percent). Crosby looks to feast against Flyers … again

Sidney Crosby will look to continue his success against the Philadelphia Flyers when the Pittsburgh Penguins face their Metropolitan Division rivals at Wells Fargo Center as part of the 2022 NHL Thanksgiving Showdown (5:30 p.m. ET; TNT, SN, TVAS, SN NOW). The Penguins captain has 120 points (51 goals, 69 assists) in 80 games against the Flyers, including scoring his 500th NHL goal in a 5-4 overtime win against them on Feb. 15. The 35-year-old is off to another hot start this season, leading the Penguins with 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 20 games. Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins (1 p.m. ET; NHLN, NESN, BSSO, SN NOW)
The Bruins (17-3-0), who are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday, have not lost consecutive games this season. The Hurricanes (10-6-4) have lost four straight (0-3-1) and are 0-for-20 on the power play in their past six games.
Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators (postponed due to water main break)
Montreal Canadiens at Chicago Blackhawks (2 p.m. ET; NBCSCH, TSN2, RDS, SN NOW)
Cole Caufield has five points (three goals, two assists) in his past three games for the Canadiens (10-9-1), who bounced back from a 7-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday with a 3-1 win at the Columbus Blue Jackets the following day. The Blackhawks (6-10-3) have lost five in a row, including blowing a 4-1 lead in the third period of a 6-4 loss to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.
Toronto Maple Leafs at Minnesota Wild (2 p.m. ET; BSN, BSWI, TSN4, ESPN+, SN NOW)
The Maple Leafs (11-5-5) are 4-0-2 in their past six games, which includes ending the New Jersey Devils' 13-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday. The Wild (9-8-2) have struggled at home this season (4-5-1), but they do have consecutive wins against the Winnipeg Jets and Carolina Hurricanes.
Calgary Flames at Washington Capitals (2 p.m. ET; SN, NBCSWA, ESPN+, SN NOW)
The Flames (9-7-3) are looking for more out of forward Nazem Kadri, who has six points (four goals, two assists) in his past 13 games. The Capitals (8-10-3) got a much-needed 3-2 overtime win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, but they are still seventh in the Metropolitan Division. Washington's power play is 24th in the NHL at 19.5 percent.
Ottawa Senators at Anaheim Ducks (3 p.m. ET; BSSC, TSN5, RDSI, ESPN+, SN NOW)
The Senators (6-12-1) are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday that dropped them to 2-10-1 in their past 13 games. The Ducks (6-13-1) got their first regulation win of the season against the New York Rangers on Wednesday.
Pittsburgh Penguins at Philadelphia Flyers (5:30 p.m. ET; TNT, SN, TVAS, SN NOW)
The Penguins (10-7-3) have been led of late by forward Evgeni Malkin, who has eight points (three goals, five assists) in his past eight games, during which Pittsburgh has gone 6-1-1. Philadelphia (7-8-5), on the other hand, has is 0-5-3 in its past eight games.
Seattle Kraken at Vegas Golden Knights (8 p.m. ET; ATTSN-RM, ROOT-NW, ESPN+, SN Now)
The Kraken (11-5-3) went 4-1-1 on a six-game homestand, capped off by scoring eight goals for the first time in an 8-5 win against the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday. Mark Stone has scored in four straight games (five goals, one assist) for the Golden Knights (16-4-1), who are 3-0-1 in that span.
Arizona Coyotes at Detroit Red Wings (8 p.m. ET; BSDET, BSAZX, ESPN+, SN NOW)
Jakob Chychrun has one assist in two games since returning from a wrist injury that caused him to miss the start of the season for the Coyotes (7-9-2).The Red Wings (10-5-4) will enter on a three-game winning streak.
New York Islanders at Columbus Blue Jackets (8 p.m. ET; BSOH, MSGSN2, ESPN+, SN NOW)
Mathew Barzal has eight points (two goals, six assists) in a six-game point streak for the Islanders (13-8-0), who have won two in a row. The Blue Jackets (7-11-1) have the second-worst goal differential (minus-25) in the NHL this season, ahead of only the Anaheim Ducks (minus-31).
New Jersey Devils at Buffalo Sabres (8 p.m. ET; MSG-B, MSGSN, ESPN+, SN NOW)
The Devils (16-4-0) will attempt to start a new winning streak after having their 13-game streak end with a 2-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. The Sabres (9-11-0) have won two in a row (outscored opponents 13-4) following an eight-game losing streak.
St. Louis Blues at Tampa Bay Lightning (8 p.m. ET; TNT, SN, TVAS, SN Now)
The Blues (10-9-0) had their seven-game winning streak end with a 6-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday. Steven Stamkos has eight points (three goals, five assists) in his past five games for the Lightning (11-7-1) and is seven shy of 1,000 in the NHL.
Winnipeg Jets at Dallas Stars (8:30 p.m. ET; BSSW, TSN3, ESPN+, SN NOW)
Connor Hellebuyck will attempt to get back on track for the Jets (11-6-1) after allowing six goals on 39 shots in a 6-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday. The Stars (12-5-3) are led by forward Jason Robertson, who has 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) on a 13-game point streak.
Los Angeles Kings at San Jose Sharks (10:30 p.m. ET; NBCSCA, BSW, ESPN+, SN NOW)
Trevor Moore has scored four goals in his past four games for the Kings (11-9-2), who have lost three straight (0-2-1). One of the few bright spots for the Sharks (7-12-3) this season has been their penalty kill, which is first in the NHL at 91.4 percent.
