Honda
Honda has begun producing and delivering critical components for the production of much-needed ventilators to Dynaflo Inc. of Reading, Penn. Honda teamed up with Dynaflo to increase Dynaflo's production of diaphragm compressors, a key component of portable ventilators that are used in hospitals and by first responders to help those stricken with the COVID-19 virus. The companies are aiming to produce 10,000 compressors per month once production reaches capacity. Honda and Dynaflo expect to maintain production of compressors through the end of August.

Honda
Honda has initiated a new effort to harness the helpful spirit of community in responding to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including providing the most vulnerable with access to food and supporting healthcare workers on the frontline of this crisis. The effort is led by an initial $1 million pledge from Honda to food banks and meal programs across the United States, Canada and Mexico, donated to community organizations that address food insecurity. In addition to the pledge, the company also created a Special Matching Gift Program that enables Honda associates to make monetary donations to food programs in their local communities, with Honda matching up to $1,000 for each individual gift. Honda also donated over 200,000 Personal Protective Equipment items including gloves, face shields, N95 protective masks, half-mask respirators and other protective gear to healthcare providers and first responders. Honda is producing face shields for healthcare facilities and first responders and has begun assembling compressors for ventilators that will help victims of COVID-19.

Food Banks are seeing a significant drop in donations and many can't keep up with demand. As "Canada's Family Grocery Store", Sobeys recognizes that family has never been more important. Proud to celebrate their teammates and the amazing efforts being made by all Canadians each day, Sobeys is encouraging everyone to share their family stories and celebrate our #OneBigFamily.
To help support and empower Sobeys leaders and staff to make a difference in their communities, Sobeys has established The Community Action Fund. With more than 1,500 grocery and pharmacy stores coast-to-coast, The Community Action Fund is making several daily donations to ensure that Sobeys, is able to support the communities, that continue to support them.
In addition to The Community Action Fund, Sobeys is proud to recognize the efforts of their incredible front line employees with the Hero Pay Program. Each team member will receive an additional $50 per week, and those who work more than 20 hours a week, will receive an additional $2 premium per hour for all hours worked over 20 hours. Sobeys has also made announcements that they are willing to hire those laid off by Cineplex Inc and Freshii Inc.
