Penguins Super 16 11.26

As long as the Pittsburgh Penguins continue to find ways to collect points without Sidney Crosby in the lineup, they will continue to climb up NHL.com's Super 16 power rankings.

The Penguins are 3-0-2 in their past five games and 3-1-3 in seven games without the center, who is recovering from core muscle surgery. They moved up three spots to No. 9 in the weekly rankings.
The Tampa Bay Lightning, winners of six of their past eight games (6-2-0), moved up three spots to No. 12.
The Dallas Stars made the biggest jump, moving up four spots to No. 6.
The top four teams are in the same order for the second straight week. The Washington Capitals are No. 1 for the third week in a row, edging the Boston Bruins by one voting point. The New York Islanders are third, and the St. Louis Blues fourth.
To create the power rankings, each of the 13 participating staff members puts together his or her version of what the Super 16 should look like. Those are submitted, and a point total is assigned to each.
The team picked first is given 16 points, second gets 15, third gets 14 and so on down to No. 16, which gets one point.
