Roman Josi scored two goals for the Nashville Predators in a 4-3 win against SC Bern in the NHL Global Series Challenge at PostFinance Arena in Bern, Switzerland, on Monday.

Josi, who played for SC Bern prior to coming over to North America, also had an assist.
Filip Forsberg and Matt Duchene also scored for Nashville. Kevin Lankinen made 15 saves.
Sven Baertschi, Romain Loeffel and Christopher DiDomenico scored for Bern. Philip Wuthrich made 27 saves.
Baertschi gave Bern a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 10:57 of the first period.
Josi tied it 1-1 at 17:46 when he skated down the right side and beat Wuthrich with a backhand.
Loeffel put Bern back in front 2-1 at 19:50 of the first, but Forsberg responded with a goal from in front of the net to tie it 2-2 at 6:24 of the second period.
Duchene gave the Predators a 3-2 lead at 8:03, scoring a power-play goal during a delayed penalty.
Josi pushed the lead to 4-2 at 5:54 of the third period from the left face-off dot.
DiDomenico scored with 13 seconds remaining for the 4-3 final.
Hurricanes 8, Blue Jackets 1:Martin Necas had two goals and two assists for the Carolina Hurricanes in an 8-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Derek Stepan, who is training camp on a professional tryout contract, had two goals and an assist, Brent Burns had a goal and two assists, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Stefan Noesen and Brady Skjei each had a goal and an assist for Carolina, which is 4-0-0 this preseason. Antti Raanta made 25 saves.
Daniil Tarasov allowed three goals on 21 shots for Columbus before being replaced by Jet Greaves, who made 19 saves.
Yegor Chinakhov's fourth goal of the preseason gave the Blue Jackets a 1-0 lead at 5:54 of the first period.
Kotkaniemi tied it 1-1 at 7:15 with a power-play goal, beating Tarasov glove side from the left face-off circle.
Noesen put the Hurricanes ahead 2-1 at 13:54 before Stepan made it 3-1 at 19:55.
Burns extended the lead to 4-1 with a power-play goal at 6:40 of the second period, and Necas made it 5-1 at 10:54.
Skjei pushed it to 6-1 at 11:51.
Stepan scored his third goal of the preseason 46 seconds into the third period to make it 7-1, and Necas also scored his third of the preseason at 17:53 for the 8-1 final.
Maple Leafs 5, Canadiens 1:William Nylander had two goals and an assist for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 5-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre in Montreal.
Alex Kerfoot scored twice, and Nicholas Robertson had three assists for Toronto. Matt Murray made 29 saves and has allowed one goal on 46 shots in two games this preseason.
Jake Allen, who signed a two-year, $7.7 million contract ($3.85 million average annual value) with Montreal on Saturday, made 26 saves.
Nylander gave the Maple Leafs a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 2:17 of the first period, and Zach Aston-Reese pushed it to 2-0 at 8:40.
Nylander extended the lead to 3-0 at 5:52 of the second period, corralling a pass from Robertson in front and lifting a backhand over the blocker of Allen.
Jonathan Drouin cut it to 3-1 at 14:15 of the third period. Juraj Slafkovsky, the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, got an assist on the play for his first point this preseason.

Nylander nets 2 goals in a 5-1 win over Canadiens

Devils 1, Bruins 0: Vitek Vanecek made 24 saves for the New Jersey Devils in a 1-0 win against the Boston Bruins at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Vanecek, who was acquired in a trade with the Washington Capitals on July 8, has allowed three goals on 55 shots in three preseason games.
Tomas Tatar scored his third goal of the preseason for the Devils.
Keith Kinkaid made 19 saves on 20 shots for the Bruins before leaving early in the third period with an undisclosed injury. Kyle Keyser made four saves in relief.
Tatar scored at 10:55 of the first period, receiving a stretch pass from Michael Vukojevic while splitting the defense and deking Kinkaid in front.

Vanecek records a shutout in a 1-0 win over Bruins

Penguins 3, Red Wings 2:Casey DeSmith made 36 saves for the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 3-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Bryan Rust, Jason Zucker and Josh Archibald scored, and Sidney Crosby had an assist for Pittsburgh.
Ville Husso allowed three goals on 18 shots in two periods for Detroit. Jussi Olkinuora made six saves in relief.
Rust gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 12:30 of the first period.
Archibald made it 2-0 at 4:52 of the second period, scoring short side on Husso from low in the right circle.
Zucker extended the lead to 3-0 with a power-play goal at 18:01.
Dominik Kubalik scored his third of the preseason to make it 3-1 at 2:59 of the third period before Dylan Larkin cut it to 3-2 at 17:20.
Avalanche 3, Stars 1:Artturi Lehkonen scored two goals in his preseason debut for the Colorado Avalanche, a 3-1 win against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Mikko Rantanen, who was also making his preseason debut, had an assist for Colorado. Pavel Francouz made 38 saves.
Jake Oettinger made 27 saves for Dallas.
Lehkonen scored a power-play goal from the right circle 54 seconds into the third period to give the Avalanche a 1-0 lead.
He then made it 2-0 at 12:37 before Nils Lundkvist cut it to 2-1 at 15:24.
Evan Rodrigues shot into an empty net with eight seconds remaining for the 3-1 final.
Oilers 7, Canucks 2:Dylan Holloway had a hat trick and an assist for the Edmonton Oilers in a 7-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
Holloway, the No. 14 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, has six points (four goals, two assists) in four games this preseason.
Zach Hyman had a goal and two assists, Warren Foegele scored twice, and Jack Campbell made 28 saves for Edmonton.
Conor Garland had a goal and an assist, Christian Wolanin had two assists, and Collin Delia made 29 saves for Vancouver.
Holloway gave the Oilers a 1-0 lead at 10:39 of the first period.
Nils Hoglander tied it 1-1 at 4:24 of the second period with a power-play goal, but Hyman scored his own goal on the man-advantage to put the Oilers back in front 2-1 at 11:50.
Holloway scored his second of the game 26 seconds later to push it to 3-1.
Garland then cut it to 3-2 at 13:08.
Tyson Barrie responded at 18:48 to give Edmonton a 4-2 lead, and Holloway completed the hat trick at 17:19 of the third period to extend the lead to 5-2.
Foegele scored his first goal of the preseason at 18:05 to make it 6-2. He scored again 51 seconds later for the 7-2 final.

Flames 4, Kraken 1 -- Chris Tanev scored in his preseason debut for the Calgary Flames, a 4-1 win against the Seattle Kraken at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
Blake Coleman had a goal and an assist, and Andrew Mangiapane, who was also making his preseason debut, had an assist for the Flames. Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves.
Matty Beniers scored his third goal of the preseason, and Martin Jones made 21 saves for the Kraken, who lost for the first time this preseason (4-1-0).
Tanev gave Calgary a 1-0 lead at 7:44 of the first period, scoring from the right circle after his initial shot was blocked by Beniers.
Michael Stone, who is in training camp on a professional tryout contract, extended the lead to 2-0 with a power-play goal at 5:33 of the second period. He has three goals in four preseason games.
Noah Hanifin made it 3-0 at 15:49 with a one-timer from the left point off a pass from Kevin Rooney.
Beniers cut the lead to 3-1 at 2:22 of the third period, converting on a one-timer off a dot-to-dot pass from Alex Wennberg on a power play.
Coleman scored at 9:32 from along the goal line for the 4-1 final.
