Adam Gaudette is day to day with a shoulder injury and did not practice.
The forward was injured in a collision with Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic during the second period of a 4-1 preseason win Saturday. He remained in the game and had one shot in 15:58.
"We will have to see how he is tomorrow and take it from there," Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said Monday.
Forward Pierre Engvall and defenseman Jake Muzzin each skated on a separate rink away from the main group.
Engvall is recovering from a foot/ankle injury sustained during offseason training. He is expected to be reevaluated next week.
"I think he is getting there," Keefe said. "He's been on the ice I'm not sure how many times now, certainly three or four times he's been out there and continues to progress."
Muzzin was held out of practice last Thursday and Friday with back discomfort. He was limited to 47 regular-season games last season with two concussions and an undisclosed injury.
"I know he got on the ice today, so that's a sign that things have progressed well for him," Keefe said. "Last I spoke with him, I know he had been having better days and feeling a lot better for sure but I have not gotten a report on how the skate today went so I don't know how it will progress from here.
"There were a couple little things bugging him leading up to camp that weren't really prevalent all summer long but as things ramped up there were a couple things on his radar but he was feeling good enough to go and then not so much. Not related to anything he went through last season, just something he is dealing with now."
