Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins was put on notice by the NHL on Saturday that his actions in the second period of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday were unacceptable and that similar behavior in the future will be dealt with by way of supplemental discipline.
The forward and Bruins general manager Don Sweeney spoke Saturday with NHL senior executive vice president Colin Campbell.
