CBJ@BOS: Foligno honored by current and former team

It was the perfect night and perfect opponent for the Boston Bruins to celebrate forward Nick Foligno's 1,000th NHL game.

Foligno played 599 of his 1,006 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, serving as team captain from 2015-21 before being traded last season to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He signed with the Bruins this past offseason.
And it just so happens the Blue Jackets were in town on Saturday.
The Bruins put together a special video for Foligno, who signed with them this offseason, featuring not only current teammates but friends from around the League and some Bruins legends.

Near the end of the video, Nick's father, Mike Foligno, who played 1,018 NHL games over 15 seasons but never for Boston, pulled on a Bruins jersey to the delight of the TD Garden crowd and the rest of the family, Nick's wife Jannelle and his children Milana, Hudson and Landon.
His current teammates presented him with a bottle of wine and a painting depicting his time with the Bruins, Blue Jackets and Ottawa Senators.
Some of his former teammates found him before he hit the ice and also handed him a gigantic bottle of wine.

On the ice, the Blue Jackets gave Foligno a collage of some of his time in Columbus and made a $10,000 donation to the Foligno family's charity, The Heart's Playbook.

He was also presented with the traditional silver stick by Bruins GM Don Sweeney and also received a Tiffany crystal from the NHL.
