Nikita Zadorov was traded to the Calgary Flames from the Chicago Blackhawks for a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old defenseman is a restricted free agent. He scored eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 55 games with the Blackhawks last season.
Selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the first round (No. 16) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Zadorov has scored 83 points (23 goals, 60 assists) in 411 regular-season games with the Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche an Sabres and eight points (four goals, four assists) in 33 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The Blackhawks acquired defenseman Caleb Jones in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers on July 12, and defenseman Seth Jones in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 23.
Chicago also acquired goalie Marc-Andre Fleury in a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
