Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers will be sidelined indefinitely after sustaining an eye injury during a 4-3 overtime loss against the New York Islanders on Thursday.
Ehlers was hit by a shot from the Islanders' Frans Nielsen in overtime, breaking his visor. The puck then bounced to Kyle Okposo, who scored the winning goal.

The Jets also will be without forward Anthony Peluso for 3-4 weeks after he sustained an upper-body injury in the opening minutes against the Islanders.
The injuries were confirmed by Jets coach Paul Maurice on Friday.
Ehlers, 20, has 13 goals and 31 points in 63 games in his rookie season in the NHL. Peluso, 26, has one goal and five points in 35 games.
