So Edmonton Oilers forward Pat Maroon felt the need to help out San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns after the two had a meeting during Monday night's game.
Maroon was poking away at a puck as Sharks goalie Martin Jones was trying to cover it up and Burns, ever the committed defender, dove into Maroon's path. Maroon fell on top of him.
But to show there were no hard feelings, Maroon gave Bruns' famous beard a a pet, perhaps to dust off some ice that may have gotten caught up in the face follicles.
We're all friends again after the whistle.
