Bonk mullet split

VOORHEES, N.J. -- The Bonk family mullet tradition lives on, for now.

Oliver Bonk had gotten the famed business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back haircut ahead of the 2023 Upper Deck NHL Draft as a tribute to his father, former NHL forward Radek Bonk, who sported one of the most memorable mullets ever at the 1994 NHL Draft.

The defensemen was chosen by the Philadelphia Flyers with the No. 22 pick, and he's sticking with the same style this week at development camp.

And if Bonk has it his way, the mullet will be around for a while.

"Yeah, that's the plan," he said.

When asked who wore it better, Oliver said dad still is living in the 1990s.

"He likes it right now," Bonk said. "He still thinks his was better but he likes mine."
