Oskar Sundqvist
was traded to the Minnesota Wild by the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.

The Red Wings received a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Sundqvist has 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 52 games this season. The forward is in the final season of a four-year, $11 million contract ($2.75 million average annual value) he signed with the St. Louis Blues on July 21, 2019, and can become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
The 28-year-old has 116 points (47 goals, 69 assists) in 340 NHL games with the Red Wings, Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins. He has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 36 Stanley Cup Playoff games and helped the Blues win the Cup in 2019.

The Wild (35-21-6) have won three straight games and are second in the Central Division. They
traded forward Jordan Greenway to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday
for a second-round pick in the 2023 draft and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
