Barkov

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov will be out 2-3 weeks with an undisclosed injury, coach Tom Rowe said Thursday after a 3-2 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
Barkov left in the second period of a 3-2 shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. He was hit in the side by a slap shot from teammate Keith Yandle, but Rowe said earlier Thursday that the injury was not to Barkov's ribs.

Rowe said Barkov, who had an MRI exam, was dealing with an injury before the game against Toronto.
"A couple of games before that," Rowe said. "He's been fighting through it."
Barkov leads the Panthers with 27 points in 36 games and had a five-game point streak end against Toronto.
