Just a couple of former hockey players hanging out, nothing to see here.
Hockey Hall of Fame member Angela Ruggiero, a defenseman on the first-ever gold-medal winning United States Women's team, met celebrity - and former high school hockey legend - Paris Hilton this weekend. Ruggiero shared a photo of the two on social media on Friday.
For the unaware, Hilton does indeed have a hockey past. She shared the proof of it, her 1998-99 junior varsity team photo from Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut, in response to Ruggiero's photos.
"Good times! Let's play sometime," Hilton wrote above the photo with some emojis mixed in. You may remember the Los Angeles Kings were somewhat surprised when they discovered Hilton's prospect page in April 2020 during the height of quarantine while the NHL season was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It just goes to show you -- Hall of Famer or JV skater -- once a hockey player, always a hockey player.
