agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the New York Rangers on Wednesday. Financial terms were not released.

The 29-year-old defenseman scored 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 52 regular-season games for the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche last season. He scored two points (one goal, one assist) in 13 regular-season games and had one assist in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games after being traded to the Avalanche on April 9 for a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Selected by the Dallas Stars in the second round (No. 41) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Nemeth has scored 58 points (eight goals, 50 assists) in 366 regular-season games with the Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and Stars, and two assists in 28 playoff games.
The Rangers also agreed to terms on a two-year contract with defenseman Jarred Tinordi. The 29-year-old had one assist in 21 games with the Nashville Predators and Boston Bruins last season, and did not have a point in four Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Bruins.
Selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (No. 22) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Tinordi has scored 12 points (one goal, 11 assists) in 102 regular-season games with the Bruins, Predators and Canadiens, and one point in 13 playoff games.
