"The Predators Foundation is happy to partner with several organizations to help provide relief to all areas affected," foundation senior director Rebecca King said. "Nashville experienced a flood in 2010, and we remember how impactful the community's donations and time were to helping us rebuild."
The mask, painted by the Swedish artist Dave Gunnarsson, includes the Texas state flag outlined in the shape of a heart, a navy-and-white Predators logo on each side and Rinne's No. 35 on the chin.
Rinne's mask is among items available in the auction. A Ryan Johansen locker, complete with an autographed jersey and nameplate from the Predators center, can also be had. More items will be added in the coming weeks.
Fans can bid by texting "Houston" to 52182. The auction will close Oct. 10.
Rinne wasn't the only NHL player to use his profile to help those affected. San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns hosted a fundraiser Tuesday and is selling autographed Burnzie Battalion Texas Strong t-shirts to benefit people in Houston.
