Crosby gifts teammates stylish neckwear, gets standing ovation from hometown crowd

The boys were matching in style ahead of the Nova Scotia Showdown.

The Pittsburgh Penguins arrived at Monday’s preseason game in matching ties, gifted to them by forward Sidney Crosby, a Nova Scotia native.

The ties were of the Nova Scotia tartan, a symbol of the Canadian province.

After changing into his hockey sweater, Crosby received a standing ovation from the crowd at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, as the starting lineups were announced.

The Penguins definitely get some style points after Monday’s showing, thanks to their captain.
