BOSTON-- Brad Marchand celebrated his 500th NHL game with five points for the Boston Bruins in a 6-3 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at TD Garden on Saturday.
Marchand, who tied his NHL game high for points, scored two goals (one shorthanded, one into an empty net) and had three assists. He has seven goals and five assists in his past six games.
"I think it's just that's how hockey goes sometimes, pucks bounce your way and other times they don't," Marchand said. "It is nice when things are going your way, you feel a little more confident, you feel you're able to do things you're a little nervous to try at different times."
