Flyers forward Jakub Voracek has eight points (three goals, five assists) during a five-game point streak. He had four goals in four games against the Penguins last season.
Penguins forward Sidney Crosby has six points (three goals, three assists) during a three-game point streak after he had six points (one goal, five assists) in his previous 14 games. He has 84 points (36 goals, 48 assists) in 59 games against the Flyers.

Status report

MacDonald is expected to play after missing 15 games because of a lower-body injury sustained Oct. 21. Weise and Lehtera will replace Weal and Leier on the fourth line. Weise had been a healthy scratch the past three games, Lehtera the previous two. … Malkin likely will miss a fourth consecutive game because of an upper-body injury sustained against the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 18.
