SAN JOSE-- The Philadelphia Flyers' power play struggled during the preseason, scoring five goals in eight games.
Then the regular season began Wednesday, and they scored on their first three power plays in a 5-3 victory against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center.
Wayne Simmonds scored three goals, two of them with the man-advantage, including the game-winner at 9:27 of the third period.
