The 29-year-old goalie was 30-9-1 with a 1.95 goals-against average, .922 save percentage and seven shutouts in 40 games (39 starts) for the Colorado Avalanche last season and was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, awarded to the goalie voted the best in the NHL.
Grubauer finished second in the NHL in wins, one behind Andrei Vasilevskiy of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and tied Semyon Varlamov of the New York Islanders for the lead in shutouts. He was second in goals-against average and eighth in save percentage among goalies to play at least 20 games.
He was 6-4 with a 2.61 GAA and .914 save percentage in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by the Washington Capitals in the fourth round (No. 112) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Grubauer is 109-61-21 with a 2.34 GAA, .920 save percentage and 18 shutouts in 214 games (187 starts) with the Capitals and Avalanche, and 19-10 with a 2.50 GAA, .913 save percentage and two shutouts in 33 playoff games (32 starts). He helped the Capitals win the Stanley Cup in 2018 as the backup goalie to Braden Holtby.

Schwartz scored 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in 40 regular-season games with the St. Louis Blues last season and did not score a point in four playoff games.
Wennberg scored an NHL career-high 17 goals in 56 games with the Florida Panthers last season, and scored two points (one goal, one assist) in six playoff games.
