Guentzel milkshakes

Pittsburgh Penguins fans needed something sweet after the bitter Jake Guentzel news.

The Milkshake Factory, a Pittsburgh mainstay since 1914, said goodbye to the forward by holding a “Jake’s Shake” retirement party on Friday.

Guentzel was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.

After every Guentzel goal, the Milkshake Factory would offer half off the forward’s signature shake.

“Jake’s Shake” featured cookies, brownies, hot fudge and caramel with a special No. 59 chocolate on top.

Penguins fans lined the streets to receive the last half off the specialty shakes.

The Milkshake Factory raised Guentzel’s jersey to their rafters at the PNC Store.
