Penguins introduce fun 'Gram Zam' event at intermission

If you can’t find your grandma at home watching the latest cooking show on TV, you might want to look at PPG Paints Arena because she might be on the ice.

The Pittsburgh Penguins introduced the Gram Zam on Tuesday during their game against the Anaheim Ducks in Pittsburgh, an event that takes Penguins season ticket holders for a ride in the Zamboni.

The ‘Gram Zammers,’ as they’re called, are all decked out in Penguins bejeweled sweaters, exactly the kind of jersey you’d expect grandma to have on.

The grandmas seemed to enjoy their ride: smiling, dancing, and waving to the crowd the entire time.

We’re not sure grandma is going to want to get back to knitting after the excitement of that ride.
