Signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a free agent June 7, 2017, Rutta has 61 points (12 goals, 49 assists) in 238 regular-season games for the Lightning and Blackhawks and 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 49 playoff games.
Rutta won the Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
Pittsburgh also signed center Evgeni Malkin to a
four-year, $24.4 million contract
($6.1 million AAV) late Tuesday.
