MIN@PIT: The Penguins welcome a special guest

A young fan and his family traveled nearly 4,000 miles to meet the Pittsburgh Penguins and see them play live. By the look on his face every second invested in the trip was worth it.

This week the Penguins hosted a young man all the way from Norway, via the Make-A-Wish Foundation. August and his family had the red carpet rolled out for them. On Sunday, August got to hang out with the team's radio broadcast crew as the Penguins defeated the Philadlphia Flyers.
On Thursday, August met many members of the Penguins, including captain Sidney Crosby.
The Penguins shared an entire thread about the big day on social media with some terrific photos.

August got to see the Penguins defeat the Minnesota Wild 4-1 at PPG Paints Arena. And the opponent was pretty important as well. Wild forward Mats Zuccarello is from Norway and a favorite of August.
Not only that, as the Penguins television broadcast team pointed out, the 2023 Masters golf championship is being held this weekend at, of course, Augusta, and leading the way Thursday was another Norwegian, Viktor Hovland.
But the crown jewel of the trip had to be the jersey, personally signed by Crosby, August's favorite player, which the Penguins captain signed "Your Friend, Sidney Crosby."
